Volunteer at the 6th Copenhagen Democracy Summit!

Are you interested in international relations and the global state of democracy? Would you like to participate in a high-level strategic forum with international speakers discussing the current challenges for our democracies? Then this is your chance to join the volunteer team at the Copenhagen Democracy Summit 2023!

The Summit is hosted by the Alliance of Democracies Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of democracy across the globe. The organization was founded by Anders Fogh Rasmussen, former NATO Secretary General and Prime Minister of Denmark. This year’s Summit will be held on May 15th and 16th at the Royal Danish Playhouse, welcoming over 500 guests, including political figures from the democratic world, as well as leading business executives, academic experts, media personalities, and democracy activists.

Previous summits have seen prominent keynote speakers such as President Barack Obama, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Madeleine Albright, Nobel Peace Prize winner Maria Ressa and Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya. Find more about the foundation and the summit on our website:

As a volunteer you will help welcome guests, manage and guide speakers and panelists, assist guests with general information and contribute to ensuring that the event runs smoothly. Ideally, you are service-minded, have a positive attitude and enjoy working in teams. During the Summit, you will have the chance to attend some of the inspiring speeches, interesting discussions and build your own networks. In addition, you will receive a t-shirt and gift bag, and will have the opportunity to take part in a team dinner and social gathering. On Monday, May 9th, you will also be invited to the Alliance of Democracies’ offices in Copenhagen for an introduction to the organization and a meet-and-greet with founder Anders Fogh Rasmussen and staff.

Not able to join us in person? Don’t worry, we also need virtual volunteers! As a virtual volunteer you’ll support by following live sessions, capturing pull quotes, manage incoming assets and contribute to our social media presence.
