Copenhagen Democracy Summit 2022
We are delighted to be hosting the next Copenhagen Democracy Summit on 9-10 June 2022. It will be the fifth edition since our chairman Anders Fogh Rasmussen inaugurated the Summit series in 2018 together with then former Vice-President Joe Biden.
We are proud to be partnering with many civil society organizations, tech and business partners as well as governments including the US State Department.
With President Biden’s Summit for Democracy on the horizon this 9-10 December 2021, we plan to be a vital part of the coming year of action that will follow the virtual meeting. The Copenhagen Democracy Summit is scheduled exactly half a year later. It will be a civil society stocktaking of the commitments made at the governmental Summit.
We will shortly start announcing a host of exciting speakers for 2022. As in previous editions, the Summit will run over two days. Pandemic restrictions permitting, we will return to a full in-person event with over 500 people from all over the democratic world, and activists fighting for democracy elsewhere.
The first day will be dedicated to technology and democracy including a return of our Democracy and Tech Entrepreneur Fellowship, expanded to several new countries. It will also build on our work in the Transatlantic Commission on Election Integrity, which President Biden was a co-founder of and our current work with the UK’s G7 presidency on the Future Tech Forum happening in London 29-30 November.
